These past 7 years have flown by and are filled with some amazing blessings, trials and struggles. The whole concept of marriage is truly incredible: seeing your reflection in someone else's eyes...knowing that you choose each other daily. The key has been knowing that, no matter what, you are with someone who is just as committed to doing the work. It is easy to take each other for granted, or get so caught up in the busyness of life that we forget to take care of each other and the foundation of our marriage: our friendship.
So, this year for our anniversary (really on the 23rd) we decided to take a day off of work and spend the day together. We drove down to Hocking Hills and went zip-lining.

Then, we headed over to Old Man's Cave to hike around:
Afterwards, Mark surprised me with stop at a local winery. The wine tasting was interesting but these pictures were well-worth it!
Mark thought zip-lining and marriage had a lot in common: trusting, having fun, making adjustments, always looking ahead and enjoying the scenery along the way.
We didn't go away to a fancy resort or a tropical destination, but it was beautiful and peaceful...and for those few hours, nothing else mattered.
Sometimes it is just the little things that mean the most...

Looks like you had an awesome time. Congrats to 7 great years!!!
