Trick or Treat

The rainy morning turned into perfect Halloween weather.  Owen kept asking if today was the day he could dress up and go trick-or-treating.

So, before nap, we had a little costume "trial run" and photo session.

He decided to stay in it for the rest of the afternoon.

Nora was in a festive mood and kept herself entertained by trying to get the hang of waving.

Owen scored a free Piada pasta bowl dinner with his costume.  Then, we ventured out for his first time trick-or-treating.

Nora helped pass out the candy (and kept trying to steal a piece) and was quite the hit with the trick-or-treaters.
It is neat to see life through the eyes of a child.  Even though Halloween has never been my favorite holiday, tonight felt different.  Owen's excitement was contagious  And, the adorable little chili pepper on my lap didn't hurt either.
