Yesterday was our first time back to a hospital since leaving with Nora. We went to meet the newest Strine (Ella's little brother, Colin). How can such a tiny little person provide so much perspective? All of the things that we spend our time worrying about or trying to achieve just pale in comparison and life seems so sweet and hopeful and simple.
And, suddenly, my baby girl seemed huge next to Colin.
At 9 months, Nora is content to observe everything around her and gets around mostly by rolling. While her Pediatrician was quick to remind me that crawling is not a milestone, she did seem concerned about her hips and recommended x-rays. Luckily, it went quickly and was not painful. And, while no parent wants anything to be a struggle for their child, maybe we'll finally get some definitive answers to questions we've had since her birth. More than anything, it is also a reminder of just how incredibly blessed we are to begin with.
Nora is so full of joy and has a contagious little giggle that gets Owen going. Hearing their laughter washes away any stress from the day and you can't help but join in. She gets super excited to eat and read stories--especially Gossie and Snuggle Puppy. She will even reach over and grab the book she wants to read before bedtime.
Lately, Owen has been interested in helping to feed her and read stories. He even held her hand and sang Jingle Bells through her shots at her 9-month checkup (*melting heart*).
9 month stats:
17 lbs (20%)
27 inches (25%)

Love your sweet girl!
