At 6 months:
- you give the most wonderful gummy smiles when we come in to get you in the morning.
- your face lights up when you see your brother. He is still the only one able to get your adorable belly laughs out.
- from a very early age, you have been a good self-soother. You constantly have your thumb and first finger in your mouth. At this point, I think it is also because you are getting ready for teeth to come in.
- since around 5 weeks, you have been a wonderful sleeper. We think you just enjoy alone time because you let us lay you down and walk out of the room and we usually don't hear another peep until your babbling wake up call
- you have been rolling over more and even sat up the other day for a bit on your own.
- you are enjoying your new meal choices: oatmeal, peas and carrots and even try to grab the spoon and feed yourself. Owen loves to help feed you when he isn't too busy running circles around the house or playing baseball. You are starting to respond to words like "eat" and "more", as well as your name.
- you have wonderfully expressive eyes and funny faces that we enjoy. And, you sure let us know when you have something to say---we are preparing for another chatty child and a crazy-loving family.
- you love to pet Oscar and he is so gentle with you when you do.
- you do this funny fake-cough thing when you want everyone's attention.
- you are such a blessing and joy in our lives and everyday we look at you with amazement--what an incredible gift to be your mommy and daddy.
