Old Friends, New Chapters

This weekend we had an impromptu visit from the Ran Family.  We haven't seen them since before Emily was born (she is now 20 months already).  And, even though it has been way too long since our last visit, we picked up right where we left off--as if no time had passed.  Our plans for a trip to the zoo or pumpkin patch were ruined by the cold, rainy weather.  We enjoyed a nice dinner and visit with Amelia and Josh on Friday, and then spent the rest of the weekend watching football and catching up. 

You know you've been friends for 20 years when your weekend consists of pajama pants, eating lots of food and just hanging out.

During story time one night, I was overcome thinking about our friendship and all we've been through: high school, Woodlands camp, life's struggles and successes, weddings, love and loss, and now these incredible children.  

Owen had such a fun time playing with Logan.  You would have thought they play together all the time. 

Thanks for coming to visit!  We know your free weekends are rare and precious.  We loved being able to spend this one with you!

Let's make sure we see you again before Baby #3 is almost 2!
